Thanks for your interest in writing for Untemplater. After all, our eclectic and free-spirited contributors make the Untemplater community what it is – the ultimate haven for anyone seeking inspiration and practical advice on untemplating their lives.

The focus of the this page is for individual entrepreneurs, fans, and bloggers who are actively involved in the Untemplater community and want to share their own untemplate adventures and insights with our readers. If you’re just trying to get publicity for yourself or your company and have never even read an Untemplater article before, this is not the place for you.

Untemplater contributors are regular readers who participate in post comments, are genuinely interested in supporting Untemplater, and believe in shattering the template lifestyle.

As you can imagine, there are oodles of submissions from folks just like you. Thank you! But it can at times be overwhelming (I’m not a superhero after all) and an immediate response is not always possible.

So, to make the process as easy and efficient as possible, these are the established guidelines…

1. Submit your guest post using the form below. This is our single point-of-entry. It keeps the process a well-oiled machine and equally fair to everyone.

2. Read and adhere to our style guide (important). As you’ve surely noticed, Untemplater is a unique brand that we all love! So to keep this brand strong the selection process is competitive. If you wish to increase your changes of getting published, read our style guide. It’s a win-win proposition!

3. Please don’t nag! If you submit an article for our consideration via the form below, don’t worry it was received. Really, it was. All submissions are read in full and taken seriously. This takes time! If your submission is selected, you will be contacted as soon as possible.

Additionally, here are our general “rules-of-thumb” for writing whiz-bang articles!

1. Don’t suck
2. Create value
3. Be unique (don’t regurgitate – it’s gross)
4. Don’t hate (arguing on facts is cool though)
5. Provide a “call-to-action”
6. Don’t fill your post full of links
7. Have fun!

But what should I write about?

Good question!

Untemplater touches on a variety of topics. We see ourselves as a focal point / linchpin in aligning many elements of an unconventional, passionate, and independent lifestyle. Thus, we intentionally give our authors lots of freedom to express themselves.

In the early days of Untemplater, regular writers were recruited to join our staff. We are not looking to hire or pay per CPM at this time, but will let you know if that time comes.

What we’re doing now is inviting entrepreneurs, fans, and bloggers from all over the web who wish to contribute posts for Untemplater to share their own untemplate stories, experiences, and expertise. We want to build our community, learn from each other, and publish a variety of content to keep things fresh and fun.
