J.A.Yang has slummed it in the valley with the Wakefield twins; slumber partied with Huey, Dewey and Louie; joined Krakow in stalking Angela; and climbed every mountain with the Von Trapps.Originally from San Diego, he's lived and traveled the world (okay, not all of it) in pursuit of that most elusive of targets -- inspiration.He's authored and published a book, written for online and offline publications, and maintained a variety of popular blogs on subjects ranging from movies and technology to personal stories and amateur musings. He's just wrapped up his second book, a fiction novel for teens, and is hard at work on his third one.

As a writer, my deadlines often fall on Monday mornings. That means a weekend full of cramming, editing, and revising. Guess what that means to the girlfriend who’s been working sixty hours in a stifling office Monday through Friday and wants to take a relaxing trip somewhere? “Sorry, gotta work. Have fun.”

As passionate people, sometimes all it takes is an introduction to something we’ve never tried before to spark a new hobby, or even a new career. While it’s possible to learn gain new interests and new skills by meeting people, going online, or just fumbling around on your own, the structure and regimented pace of a class can help you commit the time to really learn instead of always putting it off for “next weekend.”
