For centuries ancient traditions have looked to their elders for advice, counsel, and wisdom. The role of an elder was not something a person sought. Instead the community would identify those it wanted in that role. And so it was an honor to be chosen as an elder and it was a role that those chosen took on with humbleness, reverence and seriousness of purpose.

From 1988 to 2005 Dr. Drozdal served as adjunct professor in the Executive MBA Program in the College of Business at The University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and has also taught at the Anderson Schools of Management at the University of New Mexico. For the last several years he has been a guest contributor to various newspapers including the Albuquerque (NM) Journal and Rio Rancho (NM) Observer.A minimalist and a native of Philadelphia, John now calls Minneapolis home. When not helping Baby Boomers understand Millennials and vice versa, teaching new managers how to be managers and teams how to be effective, and many how to manage their careers, he amuses himself by writing essays, historical fiction, and poetry, attending the opera and theater, being s student of baseball and baseball history, experimenting in the kitchen, and walking around interesting places with his camera.
