Dave Rendall on Untemplater
At 6'6" and 180 lbs, David has been called a lot of things including: twiggy, melvin, walking stick, doc and the freak. He was always in trouble for being obnoxious and disruptive in school (and sometimes at work) but has found a way to reframe his so-called weaknesses as strengths and is sharing what he’s learned with audiences around the world.
David Rendall started working as a paperboy when he was eleven years old. Since then he has been a stock boy, lawn boy, caddy, painter, janitor, tutor, resident assistant, job coach, supervisor, nonprofit manager and senior executive.
He is currently a speaker, author and coach. During the last ten years he has provided leadership training and keynote presentations throughout the United States, Canada, India, Australia and the United Kingdom. His clients include AT&T, Tyco International, Jobs Australia, Potash Corp, Duke University and Value Options.He is also a management professor at Mount Olive College, where he was nominated for Teacher of the Year, and he teaches leadership courses for the University of Phoenix and Keller Graduate School of Management.
Prior to becoming a professor and speaker, he managed nonprofit enterprises that provided employment for people with disabilities. He has more than fifteen years of experience leading people and organizations.
He earned a doctor of management degree in organizational leadership from the University of Phoenix. He also has undergraduate and graduate degrees in psychology. His first book was The Four Factors of Effective Leadership. His forthcoming book is The Freak Factory.
